Getting around the greater Pascack Valley is very convenient. While many would like to simply walk or bike around the valley, there are many other effective ways to navigate including rail, bus, and taxis. Below are some of the public transportation companies operating in the greater Pascack Valley:
New Jersey Transit – Including the “Pascack Valley Line,” (with rail stations in 7 of the 10 towns in the greater Pascack Valley) and bus service to New York, Newark Airport, Jersey City, Secaucus, and other New Jersey destinations. http://www.njtransit.com/
PATH – Easily reachable, the P.A.T.H. System (Port Authority Trans Hudson) is a regional “Light Rail” operated by the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey http://www.panynj.gov/path/
Fellow group members, we need *your* help in promoting our upcoming benefit event "Caring for the Community."
1. Go to www.facebook.com/events/404338576603221/ 2. Under the Headline to the right there is a drop-down menu called "Share." 3. Select "Invite Friends" 4. Click on All Friends and select all of them (Of course you don't need to invite all your friends. There are other options including selecting friends one by one, but you don't really lose if you select All Friends). 5. After selecting who you want to invite, Click on Send Invites.
>> Please do this now whether or not you are personally able to attend this event or not. <<
What are you doing the day *before* Mother’s Day this year? How about joining us for a fun-filled family event including a gourmet brunch, tricky trays, silent auctions and more.
“Caring for the Community” is a benefit event being co-sponsored by the GPVCOC and Shelter Our Pets. Part of the proceeds from this fun-filled event will go towards providing scholarships to high school seniors in the greater Pascack Valley. The other part of the proceeds will help to provide a specialized service, offering loving care and shelter to pets of abuse victims, either with a foster family or at an area kennel, until they can be reunited with their owners. This event is for members and non-members alike.
