The Center for Business Planning Help – Very useful business plan resources. One of the world’s largest online resources for small businesses, providing essential tools and resources to start, grow, and manage your business.

Small Business section of – The small business section of is a centralized, one-stop platform to make it easier than ever for businesses to access services to help them grow and hire.

OpenForum (by American Express) – Stay up to date with growth topics and areas of interest to you. Connect to business owners like you and see what powers their growth. Access member exclusive content by experts in small business. – SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to helping small businesses get off the ground, grow and achieve their goals through education and mentorship.

Shopify – Free business tools from a commercial, cloud-based, multi-channel commerce platform designed for small and medium-sized businesses. Some good canned idea generators on their site. Their ultimate motive is to use their resources to set up an online merchant web site.

Smallbiz NJ – A good commercial site supporting small businesses.

LinkedIn has many specialized groups to support local businesses in the greater Pascack Valley. We encourage you to join as many of them as possible to increase your networking possibilities.

LinkedIn is of course THE social media platform for professionals and a natural fit for virtually every business in the greater Pascack Valley.  While you may already have a personal account and even a business page, do you belong to any of these influential professional groups expressly for Bergen County professionals? The Greater Pascack Valley Chamber of Commerce – An “open” LinkedIn group founded in 2014 for local business professionals interested in networking and promoting the business and community interests of the greater Pascack Valley.

Pascack Valley Professional Network – Founded in 2011, this “open” LinkedIn group’s mission is, “Connecting local professionals, business owners, and entrepreneurs” in the Pascack Valley.

Pascack Valley Beer & Business Club – Founded in 2009, this is a relatively small private LinkedIn group of business executives who live in the Pascack Valley region of New Jersey and enjoy drinking beer and meeting other people.

Linked-N Bergen County NJ – This LinkedIn private group is for you if you are in the Bergen County, NJ area or do business in this part of New Jersey. This group brings diverse information & resources to its members to assist both professionally & personally. An honest networking support group.

New Jersey Bergen County Networking Group – Founded in 2009 and with over 2,000 members, this LinkedIn private group is a group “for local professionals in Northern New Jersey.”

Bergen County Professional Women’s Network – Founded in 2010 and with over 800 members, this LinkedIn private group is run by an organization committed to the professional development of women in and around Bergen County.

Small Business Network of Bergen County NJ – Founded in 2012, this “open” LinkedIn group is a valuable resource for Small Business men and women in Bergen County, providing networking, valuable resources, and relevant discussions to its members.

Better Business Bureau of New Jersey – The BBB was founded in 1912 and is a nonprofit organization focused on advancing marketplace trust.

American Business Women’s Association – Brings together businesswomen of diverse occupations and to provide opportunities for them to help themselves and others grow personally and professionally through leadership, education, networking support, and national recognition.

National Association of Women Business Owners – The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) propels women entrepreneurs into economic, social and political spheres of power worldwide.

Bergen WIB / Job Training – The Bergen County Workforce Investment Board (Bergen WIB) is dedicated to supporting workforce and economic development by connecting Bergen County New Jersey residents to jobs and ensuring that employers have the skilled workers they need to grow, compete, and prosper.

One-Stop Career Center (for businesses) – The One-Stop Career Center is a vital source to area businesses. In partnership with the Bergen County Workforce Investment Board (WIB), the Business Resource Center (BRC), outreaches to local businesses to assist with their Human Resource needs.

Bergen County Economic Development Corp. – The Bergen County Economic Development Corporation (BCEDC) is a partnership of business, government and economic development allies dedicated to leveraging resources, fostering investment and delivering programs and services that result in business retention, attraction, creation and economic growth for the economy of Bergen County.
