The Greater Pascack Valley Chamber of commerce is organizing a Regional Day of Service to take place on Friday, October 2, 2015. We will start by delivering meals (Pascack Valley Meals on Wheels) in the morning locally (10am-12pm) and then in the afternoon we will be gathering/organizing items from necessities drive which is taking place for the month prior (see below). We will also be writing “Thank You for Your Service” letters to include in the military care packages.

Our Necessities Drive

Part of our Regional Day of Service activities on October 2nd will include facilitating a regional necessities drive for Mahwah Marine Moms/North Jersey Military Moms, an organization dedicated to collecting and distributing items to deployed troops, local veteran homes, and homeless veterans.

What We Need!

  • Toiletries for example: deodorant (non-aerosol), wisps (single-use toothbrushes), ChapStick lip balm, eye drops, shaving gel, cartridge-style razors, men’s body wash, etc.
  • Travel Size Items like: Q-tips, baby wipes, baby and foot powder, mouthwash, etc.
  • Snacks such as: craisins, raisins, power/protein bars, meat sticks/Slim Jims/beef jerky, mints/gum/Tic Tacs, tuna kits, small bags of nuts, and sunflower seeds, individual pack of powdered drink mix (Gatorade or ice tea for adding to water bottles), etc.
