Celebrating Our 51st Citizens of the Year


The Greater Pascack Valley Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the honorees for our 2025 Citizens of the Year Awards — Peter Wells and Jennifer Errity. This prestigious recognition is awarded annually to individuals who have demonstrated exceptional dedication, leadership, and service to the Pascack Valley community. Through their commitment, generosity, and tireless efforts, both Peter and Jen have made a lasting impact, embodying the true spirit of community service that the Chamber strives to promote.

Peter Wells, a lifelong Bergen County resident and current Park Ridge resident, is widely recognized for his distinguished career in architecture and his deep commitment to community service. With a portfolio of over 4,500 commercial projects across the tri-state area, Peter has earned a reputation as a leader in architectural design and planning.

 

Beyond his professional success, Peter has dedicated more than four decades to civic and philanthropic efforts. A proud Rotarian, he lives by the motto “Service Above Self,” contributing to numerous local organizations including area Chambers of Commerce, the Jaycees, the Girl Scouts, hospital foundations, and the Bergen Community Blood Center.

 

Peter’s legacy is defined by service, integrity, and leadership. His work reflects a lifelong dedication to building stronger communities—both physically and socially. Grounded in faith, family, and a passion for giving back, Peter continues to make a lasting impact on Bergen County.

Jennifer Keilly Errity, a lifelong Bergen County resident living in Woodcliff Lake with her family, is known for her dedication to youth development, education, and charitable service. As the District Community Internship Facilitator for the Pascack Valley Regional High School District, she helps students connect with meaningful internships and mentoring opportunities. She also co-advised the PV Network, encouraging student involvement in local charities and volunteer programs.

Jennifer is the co-founder and President of Spoil Me Pink, a nonprofit supporting local breast cancer survivors through thoughtful initiatives. Her work has received national recognition, including a feature on LIVE with Kelly and Ryan. She also serves on the board of Josephine’s Garden, which raises funds for pediatric patients at Hackensack University Medical Center. Her community involvement includes work with foundations, scholarship programs, and fundraising for schools like Pascack Hills, St. Joseph Regional, and Bergen Catholic.

 

Jennifer’s passion, energy, and commitment to service have positively impacted countless lives. Her legacy is one of compassion and leadership, grounded in a deep belief in giving back and empowering others throughout Bergen County.
